FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
Yes, absolutely. Our oil is made using the traditional wood-press method with no heat, no chemical solvents, and no additives of any kind. What you get is pure oil and nothing else โ exactly the way it was made in your grandparents’ time.
That strong natural aroma and slightly darker colour is actually a sign of purity. Refined oils are bleached and deodorised which removes their natural smell and colour. Our Kachi Ghani oil retains its original aroma, colour and nutrients โ that is what makes it better for your health.
Our Kachi Ghani oil has a shelf life of 6 months from the date of pressing. Store it in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight. Always keep the bottle tightly closed after use. Do not store in a refrigerator as it may cause the oil to solidify temporarily โ this is completely normal and does not affect quality.
This is the most important question and we are happy to answer it. Here is how you can verify the purity of our Kachi Ghani oil at home:
- Refrigerator Test โ Put a small amount of oil in the fridge for 30 minutes. Pure Kachi Ghani oil will partially solidify or become cloudy. Refined or adulterated oil stays clear.
- Aroma Test โ Pure Kachi Ghani oil has a strong natural aroma of the seed it is made from. If the oil has no smell it is likely refined or mixed.
- Colour Test โ Pure groundnut oil is golden yellow and pure mustard oil is deep yellow to amber. If the colour is too light or too clear it may be adulterated.
We press our oil in small fresh batches and pack it immediately. We welcome you to visit our press in Damoh personally and see the process with your own eyes. We have nothing to hide because we have nothing to be ashamed of.
